I romanticise life and a lot surrounding it because it makes me feel steady in this world of constant chaos. Enjoying the little moments of life is what grounds me. It gives me hope that there’s more to life than materialistic thoughts.

In Pieces

A lot of what I feel our teen and 20’s experience has been like is just collecting pieces of ourselves, whether it be cause we lost some of our self through our experiences or a piece that we might not have found yet… we are always seemingly trying to reach out, learn, be better and collect ourselves to be a new us.

Our cracks are like those battle scars that remind us of what we have been through, and who knows, maybe the pieces that make me who I am today might change later…

We’ll, this was my idea behind this little art piece, I didn’t want to overcomplicate it, just put forth my idea in a simple manner and I wonder if I was able to do that.

Made this artwork a few days back when I was thinking about how much my home town Mumbai has changed over the years and how our development and progress is killing the world around us… While the idea is straight forward, I wanted to show it in as clear a way as possible cause I feel like that’s what we are doing at this point. The fact that we ourselves have become so used to the fact that this is happening is also sad, and I don’t know what I can do to change it as well.

Made this artwork today when I was just playing around with a few ideas trying to make digital paper mache style artwork and this is what I came up with.

From the onset I went with wanting to depict the idea of how something unique and beautiful in its own right is being destroyed and it’s value being taken away by all these thoughts/eyes/people around us, you can take it in many ways from it representing our own creativity to even the idea that humans have had such an adverse effect on nature.

I really wanted to accentuate this artwork from our ‘Humans of Bloom’ series especially cause I wanted to depict that no matter the time or place, we have the ability to be our best, to be ourselves and to truly bloom. It’s taken me time to learn that and it’s been a hard lesson to learn but I’m glad that I have been able to take this journey and made my way here! I can’t wait to see where this journey will take me 😁✌🏾

I’ve been thinking about how our thoughts can have such an intrusive nature at times and when such thoughts do occur in my mind, how does one deal with them?

So I thought why not share my way of dealing with mine, it’s always tough to subdue these completely, especially when life just doesn’t stop for us or move at our pace, but that doesn’t mean we should let ourselves get bogged down by our own mind. I am curious though, how do you Sheeples deal with your own doubts? Do you go through something like this?

Thurim #sheeplesxart

Note 381 - When we visited the cities of old across the world, there is a word that we would come across consistently, no matter the language, more than a word, we learned that it was a name… ‘Thurim’, over and over again this name would prop up. At first we didn’t think much of it, but the more we discovered, the more we realised this was more than just a name, it was a call to a being that was said to look after the flora of the world, to have control over its bloom, and what truly baffles is that each culture described the being in the same way, odd isn’t it?

We need to learn more about this creature along with all the others we have been learning about recently… I wonder why these names are coming up now?

I for one did a lot of reflecting these past couple of months, evolving both personally and professionally.

I have openly spoken about my mental health struggles in the past and how therapy transformed my life. Healing isn’t a linear process but I’d like to think I’m getting a step closer every day. Progress over perfection.
